ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
Child and Youth Care was created in 2017, after ongoing problems most of children in Congo specially tribe of Banyamulenge were stigmatized, and discriminated against. They are not treated like others kids, in Congo. Most of the young children have no chance to complete hight school and some are recruited at an early age. That's why Bisetsa Ntwari and Ndruhuye Nelson, create this NGO that will take care of vulnerable children and youth in the DRC.
MISSION
Child and Youth Care Organization is a voice for vulnerable children in the South Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our mission is to improve their lives through emergency aid in natural disasters, wars, and other conflicts. Funds raised will give children access to an education, by providing schools fees, materials, and uniforms. Additional financial support will help to ensure a community where everyone has access to quality, nutritious food, and understands the consequences of hunger and poor nutrition.
VISION
Our vision is to make sure every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.
We envision a community where everyone has access to good quality, nutritious food, and understands the consequences of hunger and poor nutrition. We aim to create an environment in which no child’s life is torn apart by war since armed conflict is a reality for millions of children today in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We’re committed to supporting these children to overcome their experiences, and have a real chance at a better future. Children and young people have the right to grow up free of fear and violence, to develop to their full potential, and contribute to a peaceful future for themselves and for their communities.
